We value providing an educational framework that prioritizes prosocial behavior in students and inspires students toward social justice and environmental stewardship. We believe in developing critical thinking skills by cultivating systems thinking among learners. Our approach involves crafting an adaptive learning environment to ensure we meet educators and students at their current capabilities while enhancing 21st-century skills to prepare them for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
As a technology specialist, Dan implemented the remote learning platform for his elementary school for immediate use during the COVID-19 pandemic and assisted in developing the hybrid teaching model during the school's reopening.
Dan holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Policy and is finishing a Master's in Sustainability and Climate Change. Theresa acquired a Bachelor's degree in History and Elementary Certification.
Beyond our roles as K-12 educators, we are committed to advancing education and providing social support in broader contexts. Theresa's experience as a developmental specialist for adults with cognitive and behavioral disabilities has enriched her understanding of diverse learning needs. Dan's work at libraries and his current role as a Makerspace Development Researcher highlight his pursuit of expanding learning environments beyond traditional classrooms.
